Advert reflection

What was the construction task/brief you were given? What advert did you choose?

we were tasked with recreating an advert pretty much shot by shot, we had to organise, film and edit this on adobe creating cloud
we chose to do a scratch card advert set in a school

How did you divide the tasks in your group and did you need other helpers? Describe.

we divided the tasks evenly, for example, Fran and Renie both filmed whereas I was the student with the scratch card as well as setting up the hall with tables and chairs

What programme did you use to complete your task?

What tools/effects from that programme did you use to create your task? In filming and in editing

I used the cut tool to cut down each clip to make sure that it was in time with the origninal advert

What were the biggest obstacles to completing your task?

The biggest obstacle was to make sure we managed to get enough people to make it look likea hall full of people

What was your initial feedback? What did others say about your production?

The people who helped us said that they enjoyed working with us and that direction was clear

Identify what went well and with hindsight what you would do differently.

What went well:

our organisation was definitely a strength of ours first we worked out we would scope out areas to film on one day, film the next day and then edit through it ready for the last 2 days, we made sure we had all the equipment we needed such as tables and chairs and making sure that everyone we needed was there. Also our work ethic was something that went well as we finished filming in one day, we stuck to our schedule.

What needs improvement:

in hindsight, we didn't get all the shots we needed, we missed 2 of them out, they were very short shots but it overall affected it.
